Brianhead Fire Update July 16, 2017

Resources on Fire: There are currently 355 personnel on this incident, including the following resources:
Crews 10
Type I Helicopter (Heavy) 0
Type II Helicopter (Med) 0
Type III Helicopter (Light) 1
Engines 9
Dozers 1

Today will be the last shift for Great Basin Incident Management Team 7. The fire will be turned over to the local unit on Monday July 17, 2017 at 0600. Today the team will transition with the incoming Type 4 Team so they will be able to have a seamless takeover of the fire.

Work will continue in the fire area. Crews will continue to monitor smokes and remove hazards. The public will continue to see smoke coming out of the interior but there should be no reason to worry. Also dust devils will appear that look similar to smoke.
