FIRE UPDATE –

Resources on Fire: There are currently 407 personnel on this incident, including the following resources:

Crews 9
Type I Helicopter (Heavy) 0
Type II Helicopter (Med) 1
Type III Helicopter (Light) 1
Engines 17
Dozers 1


Crews continue to work inside the fire perimeter to suppress hot spots and remove hazards. They will be falling hazard trees to reduce the danger after the area is opened to the public. In addition they continue to repair lines and remove equipment. Crews are being released from the fire so they can go back to their home unit and prepare for their next assignment. The Incident Command Post will be downsizing in preparation of turning the incident back to the home unit.

Today out on the fire we are already seeing new growth. Visitors can expect to see new growth within the fire perimeter. Wildlife will return quickly as the forest renews itself and creates new habitat.

Air quality is good and recreation opportunities are available and open. Come and support local businesses that have been impacted by the fire.
