Hunters: King Fire Affects Access

September 26, 2014

Due to the King Fire and related fire suppression and rehabilitation activities, some routes will be closed on the Tahoe National Forest during rifle season. The following routes will be closed:

+Foresthill Rd. from its intersection with Deadwood Ridge Rd., eastward to its intersection with Soda Springs Rd.

+Mosquito Ridge Rd., from its intersection with Gorman Ranch Rd., eastward to its terminus with Foresthill Rd., and Soda Springs Rd.

+Forest Service Rd. 22, from near French Meadows, southward to the Tahoe National Forest and Eldorado National Forest boundary.

+The Western States and Tevis Cup trails from Deadwood Ridge Rd., eastward to the northeast side of the portion of Mosquito Ridge Rd. near its terminus with the Foresthill Rd. and Soda Springs Rd., north of French Meadows.
