Forest Officials amend South Fork Complex closure for hunter access

JOHN DAY, OREGON After further consideration, Forest Officials will further reduce the South Fork

Complex closure.

Effective immediately, the South Fork Complex closure area is now open to non-motorized cross country travel. Motorized cross country travel within the closure area boundary remains closed.

Road closure for the portion of the 24 Road from the forest boundary to Forest Road 270, Dewey Creek will remain closed until further notice due to hazard trees and falling rocks.

All other roads within the closure area previously open to motorized travel are now open.
