Happy Camp / Oak Knoll Ranger District of the Klamath NF will implement the following prescribed burn project Monday , November 13th:
• Project Name: Happy Oak District Piles – Elk Creek North

• Legal Location: T16N R7E Sec 25
• Descriptive Location: East Fork Elk Creek
• Type: Hand Piles
• Total Acreage: 35 acres
• Planned Ignition: Wednesday , November 13th
• Duration: Ignition 2 days, Smoke Production 4 days
• Estimated Direction of Smoke Travel: W/NW

• Project Name: Fish Gulch Handpiles
• Agency contact: USFS/KNF/Happy Camp Denice Edgar 530-465-1519
• Legal Location: T47N R8W Sec 31
• Descriptive Location: Fish Gulch, northwest of the mouth of Beaver Creek
• Type: Handpiles
• Total Acreage: 42 acres
• Planned Ignition: Monday, November 13th
• Duration: Ignition 1-3 days, Smoke Production 7-10 days
• Estimated Direction of Smoke Travel: NE
• Communities or Smoke Sensitive Areas: Klamath River/Hwy 96 – predicted winds should blow smoke away from the community, but ignition will be adjusted or ceased should negative impacts occur.
