 Fire started on July 18, 2022 and is located at 750 Hempel Drive, Copperas Cove, Coryell County, Texas.   Texas A&M Forest Service has been requested to assistance.  Dozers and engines are assigned to the fire.  Texas A&M Forest Service is working in unified command with local Incident Command.  1 home reported lost, 2 homes received minor to minimal damage, 2 vehicles lost, 1 horse trailer lost. Forward progression has been stopped.  Dozers are constructing containment lines and engines are working directly on the fire. 

Weather-Heat Advisory in effect through Tuesday.  Southerly winds8-10 mph, relative humidity near 23%.

Weather Concerns

Southerly winds near 8 to 10 mph will continue through tonight.
Temperatures will reach readings near 105 degrees within the
next hour or so with a minimum RH near 23%. RH will recover to
72% by Tuesday morning, with winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph
out of the southwest. Gusts will be in the 20 to 25 mph range.
A high temperature near 105 degrees is expected again Tuesday
afternoon with a minimum RH near 23%.
