| Incident Description | Resource objectives: ▪Re-introduce prescribed fire into ecosystems that were historically maintained with frequent low to moderate intensity surface fire. •Fire will reduce competition from non-oak tree species and shrubs, maintain a suitable seedbed for oak species, and maintain growth and vigor of young oak trees. ▪Fire will reduce hazardous fuel loadings, maintain fire adapted communities, reduce occurrence of shade tolerant tree species, reduce surface fuels, and enhance habitat elements that promote wildlife species diversity. |
