The West Fire started on June 20. 2021. The fire was last mapped at 3107 acres. The fire is burning in heavy lodgepole and limber pine surrounded by sagebrush and grasses; no structures are threatened.
Moffat and Rio Blanco County and all BLM lands within the Little Snake and White River Field Offices are currently in Stage 1 fire restrictions. These areas will begin Stage 2 Fire Restrictions June 25 at 12:01 a.m.
