Firefighters are currently working to contain the Geese wildfire in Lampasas County. The fire started January 14, 2021 at 15:08pm North of Lampasas off FM 281.
The wildfire had stopped forward progression when Texas A&M Forest Service arrived on scene. Fire activity was minimal for the night. Ground crews are creating containment lines around the fire perimeter. Five structures were threatened and saved. No evacuations at this time.
Texas A&M Forest Service is currently in unified command with Local resources to manage the fire.
