10/09/2020 Trail #71 Closure RESCINDED
The previous closure on Trail #71 due to the Bryan Mountain fire has been RESCINDED. The trail is once again open from the West Fork Rapid River Trail #113 to the Main Rapid River Trail
Announcement - 10/09/2020

The Bryan Mountain fire was detected the afternoon of October 1, 2020 between the West Fork and the main Rapid River, approximately six miles southeast of Pollock.
 
More typical seasonal weather recently has resulted in minimal or zero fire activity on existing wildfires on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. As of October 16, the Bryan Mountain fire near Pollock continues to show some smoke, but has not grown, and activity is minimal. Fire managers remain engaged to respond to any increase in fire activity until the wildfire is officially declared “out.”
