The lightning-caused Saber Fire was reported by Turkey Butte Lookout on Aug. 2, 2019 and has grown to 2,179 acres. The fire is located 12 miles northwest of Sedona near Turkey Butte Lookout. Fire managers on the Coconino National Forest have determined that the fire will benefit the ecosystem as it moves across the landscape naturally consuming dense forest fuels.
