On the evening of July 24, 2019, a lightning strike ignited a single tree in the Park Ridge area of Boulder Mountain. Fremont River Ranger District plans to manage this ignition to aid towards a healthy Ponderosa pine ecosystem, by utilizing low intensity under burn tactics.
