The Basket Fire was reported, Saturday, Sept.15, at approximately 7:00 a.m. by Kern County Fire Dept. The fire is located in the Greenhorn Mountains, near Rancheria Road and Poso Creek.

Incident Commander is Ed Fulton, and IC (trainee), Geoff Gillespie, both forest service fire fighters.

Fire was 100% contained on 9/22/2018. Control date is Oct. 3, 2018.

Fire has been determined to be human caused and remains under investigation.
