The Stubblefield Fires include three fires surrounding the community of Condon, Oregon. The fires include the Stubblefield, Seale, and Lonerock Fires.
The fires were detected after lightning passed through the area on August 16 and 17. The fires are burning on private and BLM managed lands, approximately 50 miles southeast of The Dalles, Oregon.
There are numerous structures threatened and, as of today, the fires are being managed under Unified Command with Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Blue Team and Northwest Incident Management Team 7.

Fire preparedness is at the highest level, PL 5, both regionally and nationally. Fire resources are shared and limited due to the number of large fire incidents across the western U.S.

Moderating weather for next several days. Cooling trend with increasing relative humidity will maintain smoldering of interior isolated fuel pockets and stump holes.
