The fire is burning on private land through areas of mixed conifer with pockets of heavy logging slash and standing dead timber. Primary and contingency dozer and hand lines have been established. Burnout tactics are being used to contain the fire within Flagstaff and Sheep Creek roads. Smoke will be observed during the burnout operations. The Washington National Guard is engaged with fire crews on the line. Fire officials will continue to use air support to help suppression and containment efforts.
