The Bears Fire received some significant rain from two storms in the past week. Recently, fire personnel have been conducting suppression repair and contour falling of trees, as well as dropping fire weakened and hazardous trees near roads. The area remains closed because of these public safety concerns.

The temporary Closure Order for the area remains in effect. A map of the closed area along with the full Closure Order is available on the Tonto’s website at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/tonto/alerts-notices/?aid=48015.
