The lightning ignited ranch fire was first reported just after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. The fire is burning in a remote portion of the Black Mesa Ranger District in moderate to heavy brush and grass. Fire managers have determined there are no likely threats to life or property at this time. The fire is being managed by Type 3 Incident Commander, Gary Strickland.
