The Divide Fire started June 29 in the Great Divide area about 23 miles north of Craig in sagebrush and grass on a mix of private and Bureau of Land Management lands. The cause remains under investigation.

A Type 3 Incident Management Team is managing the fire. Agencies responding to the fire yesterday included the Moffat Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Forest Service, Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, Craig Fire/Rescue, Moffat County Road and Bridge, and Yampa Valley Electric.
