The 85 acre Stormy Creek Fire is 100% contained. Although the fire has been fully contained, the public will still be contending with smoke in the air. This smoke will probably linger in the area for a relatively long period of time. The smoke is coming from stumps that are smoldering and are unsafe to manage.

All evacuation levels have been lifted. The Forest is open for recreation. Remember fireworks and exploding targets are prohibited on the Forest.

The incident is being returned to the local jurisdictions Friday morning, the 6th.

The Southeast Washington Type 3 Interagency Team 3 would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
