The Cherry Fire started at 7:47 p.m. 6/27/2018. Multiple resources responded to the fire near the rock quarry next to Horse Creek off of Highway 96. As of 7:30 a.m. this morning 6/30/2018, the fire is at 63 acres and 90% containment. The incident has transitioned from Type 3 to a Type 4. Crews will continue to monitor the fire and mop up hot spots. This will be the last update unless significant activity occurs.
