The Buzzard Fire remains at 50,296 acres and 90% contained. The fire transitioned to a Type 4 organization on June 30. The fire is in monitor status and BAER work continues.

Remarks

An area closure is in effect for the fire area (Order No. 6-18-005). Road closures exist at FR 233 at Hwy 12; FR 94 at FR 054; FR 47 at FR 4038D. Portions of the Continental Divide Trail are closed to the public, the trail has been re-routed. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in effect on the Gila National Forest.
