The Knoll Fire was reported on Friday morning, March 30, 2018, and is located approximately 13 miles northeast of Payson, AZ.

Cause: Initial investigation indicates this wildfire was human caused by fireworks. Fireworks are ALWAYS illegal on all National Forests in Arizona and New Mexico.

Summary: The Knoll Fire was declared contained at 7:00 pm Sunday night, April 1, 2018. Light smoke may continue to be visible from Forest Service Road 29 over the next few days, but is not a threat to containment lines.
