The Rim Fire was discovered Sunday, September 3 and quickly grew to 20 acres. Over the next couple of weeks the fire grew to a total of 237 acres. It is now 100% contained. The closure order for the fire has been decreased in size to protect the area immediately impacted by the fire, but allow for access outside of this area. Please look at the closure and map under links for more detail.

No new updates will be posted unless conditions change significantly.
