Overnight firefighters continued to mop up and increase containment of the Mission Fire to 78 percent. Today, fire crews will continue working with the tribal community to identify and mitigate threats to sensitive cultural sites and minimize the effects of suppression efforts. Suppression repair is underway to return the landscape to as near a pre-fire condition as possible. The California National Guard continues to assist in firefighting efforts. Please continue to exercise caution when traveling through the fire area as military vehicles, along with emergency response vehicles have a heavy presence. All Mandatory Evacuation Orders and Advisories have been removed.
