The Oak Fire, which started by lightning on August 11, is located approximately 5 miles west of Happy Camp, CA, in the upper part of Oak Flat Creek drainage, about 1 mile south east of the Baldy Mountain Lookout. The fire is in timber in steep, rugged terrain.
