The Buck Fire is located on the St. Joe Ranger District, approximately 16 miles southeast of Avery, Idaho. The fire is burning in steep terrain and heavy fuels along Buck Creek, south of FSR201.

Planned Actions

Fire crews finished moping up the containment lines that were available for the crews to work in safely. This additional work has brought our containment percentage up to 25%.

Heavy precipitation is expected over the fire area With this incoming precipitation fire activity is expected to be stunted for the foreseeable future.

Remarks

Main objective still remains keeping the fire off of Molpus Timerlands property.
