The Poslin Fire is now contained at 860 acres. The fire is largely on the east side of Adams Peak, well west of CA Hwy 395. Engines and crews remain on the the fire at night to patrol and mop-up as needed.

The fire was started by lightning in the afternoonon August 6.

The Tahoe NF reported their Chilcoot Fire is 100% contained on August 8.
