08/16 - The Minerva Fire is 100% contained as of 5:00pm yesterday. The perimeter will continue to be patroled and any necessary mop-up will be accomplished. Maps and other information regarding area rehabilitation will be added to this site intermittantly in addition to being published on Facebook.com/usfsplumas.

Fuels within the fire vicinity are mixed conifer, oak and brush.
Backing, Creeping, Smoldering. Interior islands will continue to flare-up. The fire will have activity within the interior.
Crews will contiue to deal with any necessary mop-up and to patrol perimeter.

No current threats; slight smoke production is only impact
There are no anticipated threats to private property and slight smoke is the only impact. There is a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in place over the fire area and the area closure remains in effect.
