Incident Overview

The Flying R Fire is burning on the Sierra Vista Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest, southeast of Patagonia. Today suppression resources made further progress on securing the fire perimeter. Burn out operations continued as needed and were responsible for a large portion of the additional acres burned. Firefighters will work to further secure containment lines, and cool any hot areas that have the potential to spread.
