Incident Overview

The Molino Fire was reported at 12:30 on April 4th near mile marker 4.5 on the Mt. Lemmon Highway. The fire cause is under investigation. The fire did not grow today. As of 5 pm the Mt. Lemmon Highway will reopen, and the Incident Commander plans to begin releasing some resources. Interior smokes are still visible on the fire. Two Forest Service hotshot crews, two engines and a helicopter will be assigned to the fire tomorrow, and will continue to work on securing the fire. This will be the last fire update unless a significant change occurs.
