Firefighters working hard to find and extinguish hot spots on the Summit Fire burning south of Big Bear Lake

The Summit Fire burned 55 acres near Snow Summit Mountain Resort south of Big Bear Lake. It was reported at 12:25 pm on August 23 and is now 100% contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Hike-a-Bike Trail 1E26 remains closed until further notice.
