Significant Events

Little Jimmy Trail Camp, West Fork Area, East Fork Area, Coldbrook and Crystal Lake Campgrounds have been Evacuated. Eleven Firefighters have been evacuated with minor injuries. Four structures have been burned.

The Cabin Fire started at 1:07 p.m PST, August 14. Currently, the fire is 1,723 acres and is 98% contained. Eleven firefighters have been evacuated with minor injuries. About 280 personnel are on scene. The location of the fire is 3 miles north Rincon-Redbox Rd. off HWY 39. HWY 39 is closed from the bottom at Sierra Madre to the Intersection of HWY 2.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) that is in effect and any private aircraft or drone that violates the TFR could face serious criminal charges. Even without a TFR, anyone who hampers firefighting efforts could face charges as well.
