Planned Actions

Hold completed fire lines and initiate mop-up where possible. Stage 1 Suppression Repair will continue throughout the fire

area as conditions allow.

Projected Incident Activity

12 hours: Cloud cover and light rain has brought RH values higher and lowered temps, with heavy fog over night. Fire activity has deceased. Minimal fire activity.

24 hours: Cloud cover and rain expected over the fire area. This will bring RH values higher and lowered temps, with heavy fog over night. Fire activity has deceased.

48 hours: Warming and drying period will allow the ERCs to increase slightly, the fire activity will remain low intensity.

72 hours: Warming and drying period will allow the ERC's to increase slightly, the fire activity will remain low to moderate intensity.

Anticipated after 72 hours: Warming and drying period will allow the ERCs to increase slightly, the fire activity will remain low to moderate intensity.

Remarks

A temporary forest closure to provide for public safety is in place around the Nickowitz Fire including a portion of the Siskiyou Wilderness. All roads and trails within the closure area will be restricted to authorized personnel only until the Nickowitz Fire is declared out.
