Incident Overview

The Sniption fire was first reported Tuesday, July 29, on private property about 7 miles west of Condon.

Cause is undetermined and under investigation.

This wind-driven grass fire quickly spread to the south and west, entering Thirtymile Canyon and Sniption Canyon, but to date remaining west of Highway 19.

Oregon Interagency Incident Management Team 3; Johnson IC, assumed command of the management of the fire.
