Incident Overview

The Playground Fire is located in northwest Box Elder County, Utah, approximately 15 miles south of Rosette. The fire is being managed by the BLM, in cooperation with the State of Utah and Box Elder County, and with assistance from the US Forest Service. It is burning in juniper, pinyon pine, sagebrush and grass. The fire was started by lightning and reported on Saturday, July 20.
