Packwood Evacuation Update, September 11, 2022 7:00pm Update.

 
As of 7:00 PM today (September 11, 2022), Hwy 12 and SR 123 are open in both directions. The following Forest Service Roads remain CLOSED: FSR46, FSR4610, FSR4612, FSR1266, FSR1260 and all associated spurs.

La Wis Wis Campground is still closed until further notice.

Also at 7:00 PM evacuation levels will change as follows:

Timberline community to the SOUTH of Hwy 12 (noted in PINK in map below) is reduced to a Level 2: Be Set.

All other areas including, Timberline community to the NORTH of HWY 12, Goat Rocks, High Valley and Packwood proper are reduced to a Level 1: Be Ready.

The Goat Rocks Fire is still a threat to the community with fire suppression activity still going on. Sprinklers and hose lines are in place. DO NOT remove these! Fire personnel will remove these items when appropriate. Be cautious of this as you return to your homes. Unless necessary DO NOT come to the area. The fire is still active, and associated smoke may affect driving visibility.
