Cause: Unknown, human caused

Fire progression has been stopped. Burkburnett Task Force from Texas A&M Forest Service completed containment line around the perimeter of the fire. The fire threatened four structures, two were direct saves by local responders. Fire engines patrolled and conducted mop-up operations, cooling off any areas of concern. Local crews will be patrolling Pear Fire overnight. Texas A&M Forest Service resources have cleared the fire and will return tomorrow morning to improve containment lines when there’s better visibility. Burkburnett Task Force and local Incident Commander are working under unified command.
