Eastland Complex Update: March 26

Eastland Complex
Publication Type: News 03/26/2022

Eastland Complex:

Acres: 54,513
Containment: 85%
Cause:  Under Investigation

Yesterday, crews took advantage of the low winds to work hotspots that were mapped by an evening infrared flight. No significant activity was observed on any of the fires yesterday, and this combined with the hard work of the fire crews has led to an increase in the containment of most fires. The area is still experiencing a drying trend and this weekend we will have some significant fire weather, with high temperatures, high winds, and low humidity. Eastland Complex resources are available to support local responders, and additional resources from the Texas A&M Forest Service are available. In addition, a variety of aerial resources are available for response.
