Acres: est. 11,598
Containment: 36%
Cause: Undetermined

Firefighters continue suppression operations on the Dempsey Fire, burning south of Graford, in Palo Pinto County.

No growth was observed on the fire today. Crews focused on areas retaining heat and hotspots near firelines that may pose a threat to containment. Dozers and heavy equipment continued to reinforce and improve containment lines around the perimeter of the fire.

The night shift firefighters will continue to patrol and monitor the fire with engines. Crews will reinforce containment lines across areas of concern where possible.

More than 240 state and local fire resources continue to focus on life safety of both the public and first responders, the protection of critical infrastructure and suppression actions.

There is a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in place for the area over the Dempsey Fire [NOTAM: FDC 2/4320, https://bit.ly/39WBOwo]. Please avoid the area to provide a safe environment for firefighting aircraft.
