Night shift crews monitored and patrolled the fire overnight. Firefighters continue to find areas holding heat near containment lines and worked to mitigate any issues.

Today, crews will reinforce containment lines where needed, working to widen those lines with dozers and ensure they are secure. Dozers and hand crews will focus their efforts on areas that have been inaccessible due to weather with the goal of working as close to the fire's edge as possible.

Engine crews will continue to patrol the fire area, checking structures in the area and mitigating any potential issues.

There is a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in place for the area over the Dempsey Fire [NOTAM: FDC 2/4320, https://bit.ly/39WBOwo]. Please avoid the area to provide a safe environment for firefighting aircraft.
