Current Situation
Currently resources are engaged constructing line with dozers around the perimeter of the fire to slow fire growth and eventually stop forward progression of the fire. Engines from departments across Hood county as well as resources from Erath county, and Texas A&M Forest Service are working around these dozer lines putting out any active flames they can see and lower the fire activity and ensure that the fires stays within the dozer lines. Aerial resources have been effective in lowering fire activity, giving ground resources time to construct line and increase firefighter safety.
