Pile burning continues on West Dolores Rim with new snow 3.9.2022

BLM Southwest District loves the recent snow that gives us an opportunity to continue prescribed pile burning today on the Tres Rios Field Office BLM-administered lands in the West Dolores Rim area.
The project area is located approx. 2.5 miles east of Egnar, CO and Highway 141. If conditions are favorable, piles of pinyon pine and juniper debris that were removed to improve sage grouse habitat will be burned. Smoke maybe visible from Hwy 141 and Egnar, CO.
