Spring 2022 Prescribed Fire

COMMERCE CITY -
U.S. Fish and Wildlife (FWS) will be conducting prescribed burning activities on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge on Friday, April. 8, 2022. The plan is to burn unit 30b, units 31bc and 36b. The burns will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Smoke will be visible for several miles from the perimeter of the Refuge and people in the area may smell smoke. The wildlife drive may be temporarily closed for short intervals throughout the day.
