Upper Lake Ranger District

  • Lake Pillsbury Homesites piles: 18N 10W S 12, 13
  • Booth Crossing piles: 19N 10W S 27, 28, 34
  • Westshore piles: 18N 10W S 3, 4, 14, 15 19N 10W S 32

 

Covelo Ranger District

Previous project areas on this district were impacted by the August Complex wildfire. The piles that existed prior to the wildfire were burned. As new projects are developed and covered under National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), fuels specialists will be expanding burning operations in the Covelo Ranger District. 

Several hand piles at administrative sites are included in the updated prescribed fire burn plan for the Upper Lake and Covelo Ranger Districts. Timing for burning these piles will depend on weather and fuel conditions.

Grindstone Ranger District

Approximately 385 acres of hand piles is planned for burning this season, depending on weather and fuel conditions. Locations of the planned projects are:

  • Paskenta Work Station
  • Riley Ridge piles
  • Whiskey Fuel Break piles
  • Stonyford Work Station
  • Chico Seed Orchard
