COYOTE FLATS ROAD UPDATE

Last Thursday June 29, Inyo National Forest staff surveyed and attempted to get heavy equipment up Coyote Flats Road, however, they were not able to make it all the way due to recent thunderstorms causing additional damage. A gully has formed, measuring about four feet deep by two feet wide, and 500 feet long, making it impassable.

The Forest is working on an agreement with partners to help fix the road with no new timeframe for the road to reopen to the public.

We apologize for the inconvenience; however, we ask for your continued patience as we work diligently on the worst of our roads while still dealing with snowmelt and thunderstorms that sometimes blow out the work that has been done.
