Mile Post 6 (Wildfire) At 2:06 PM the Coronado National Forest began to respond to smoke spotted at milepost 6 on Redington Road in the Santa Catalina Ranger District. Firefighters began the initial response under Incident Commander Sean Cox. At 4:15 PM the incident was transitioned to Type 4 Incident Commander Aaron Means. This is not a prescribed burn or linked to the one on Mount Lemmon. The incident has been transitioned to the local unit.

A fire investigator is at the scene.
