Night shift firefighters monitored and patrolled the fire overnight. Engines crews continue to find areas holding heat near containment lines and worked to mitigate any issues.

A small group of resources that were identified to respond to new ignitions in the area were requested to assist on a small, 1-acre new start southeast of the Dempsey Fire last night.

Today, crews will continue to reinforce containment lines where needed, working to widen those lines with dozers and ensure they are secure. Dozers and hand crews will focus on connecting control lines across the area today.

Engine crews continue to patrol the fire area, checking structures in the area and mitigating any potential issues. They will also check on hotspots identified by the infrared flight flown over the fire area last night.
