Status of BAER Efforts

The Waldo Canyon Fire Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) team, composed of soil scientists, hydrologists, engineers, archaeologists, biologists, silviculturists, geographic information specialists and others was assembled and met on Thursday, July 5. The team met with representatives from the Incident Management Team and the Pike & San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands and was updated on current fire status, outlook for the fire, and a presentation on safety for working within the burn area.
