Incident Overview

Significant progess was made Monday towards the contaminment of the Silver Creek II fire located about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Keller, WA. The fire, which started Friday afternoon, July 4, 2014, has burned over 350 acres in steep, rocky terain with poor access. Fire is 65% contained and approximately 226 personnel are working on the fire.

Improving access and safety on opened roads. Mop up and containment operations continue. Some BAER and rehab activites are beginning where authorized.

Weather conditions to warm well above average temperatures, with no precipitation, resulting in low humidity and poor overnight recoveries. Slightly breezy winds with potential cold front. Continued warming and drying predicted through mid week with potential for gusty winds. Hot, dry and windy.
