SPRINGVILLE, CA – The Northern Arizona Type II Incident Management Team will transition management of the Fish Fire to a local Type III organization lead by Incident Commander Robert Sanders. The Type III organization will continue to secure and contain remaining sections of fire line and finish restoration of areas impacted by fire suppression actions. Although smoldering trees and bushes may still be visible in the fire’s interior, effects from smoke have decreased significantly. The local weather forecast is calling for an increase in moisture and possible rain over the next few days which may assist in addressing the remaining interior hot spots.

For continuing information on the status of the fire please refer to the links or phone number above.

Due to continued public safety concerns, the closure of the Golden Trout Wilderness will remain in place until further notice. Information on the area closure can be found on this website under maps.
